Dr Ash Rossiter
Ash is a Professor of War who writes and lectures widely on past, present and future warfare. His most recent book, Warfare in the Robotics Age, was published in the US in 2024. He has extensive experience in warzones prior to becoming an academic, including two tours of Iraq supporting joint special operations. Ash’s insights on military affairs are regularly sought by militaries, governments and major international firms from around the world.
Ash has provided expertise and his extensive knowledge about warfare to a variety of world-class film, TV and video game productions.

Major Charlie Rotheram
Charlie joined The British Army at 18 years old. He has served in a variety of roles with the Regular Army and Army Reserves since 1999. Charlie was a Reconnaissance Officer in Afghanistan and has experience of State Ceremonial Duties and as a Royal Equerry.
Charlie set up Services To Film in 2013 and has been a Military Advisor on many Film and TV Productions including Fury, War Machine, Darkest Hour and Downton Abbey.

Major Merlin Hanbury-Tenison
Merlin has had a varied career in the British Army having joined as a teenager in 2005. Merlin had completed 3 tours of Afghanistan before his 25th birthday in roles including a Recce Officer, Forward Air Controller (coordinating coalition air strikes) and in covert operations.
Merlin has worked on a variety of productions including Darkest Hour and Black Widow for which he ran a cast boot camp and was the Military Technical Advisor to the principal actor.

Lieutenant Colonel Dickie Trant
Lieutenant Colonel Dickie Trant had a career in The British Army spanning over 30 years. He fought in both the first and second Gulf Wars and completed numerous tours of The Balkans. Dickie also worked around the world with foreign militaries and left the Army having Commanded a Regiment.
Dickie is now the Managing Director of Services to Film and has had a prolific career as a Military Advisor on Downton Abbey, Military Wives, The Crown and Belgravia to name but a few

Commodore the Hon Micheal Cochrane OBE
Michael spent over 30 years in The Royal Navy. He circumnavigated the globe in the Royal Yacht Britannia on Royal Tours and was subsequently the Captain of HM Ships Brecon, Somerset, and Chatham. For his last appointment he commanded a flotilla of 46 ships including Aircraft Carriers.
Michael has tremendous experience of operations at sea and his passionate about the history of The Royal Navy. He recently advised on elements involving The Royal Navy for "The Crown".

Lieutenant Colonel Mick Cataldo
Mick spent over 20 years in the Regular Army as an Infantry officer and serving with The Royal Marines. He served in many operational theatres including The Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Mick was the driving force behind Project SENATE - an initiative to connect the MOD with the film and TV industry, utilising Defence assets for creative productions. Mick has assisted productions both as a Military Advisor and helping source and integrate military assets into filming.
